ARBORICULTURE

What is Arboriculture?

Caring for Trees! The ANSI (American National Standards Institute) A300 Tree Care Standard defines arboriculture as the art, science, technology, and business of commercial, public, and utility tree care. This includes planting, pruning, and disease management.

Why Should You Join?

Trees are important, they help with climate change by absorbing carbon dioxide, releasing oxygen, and filtering out air pollution. They also provide habitats for wildlife, improve air quality, and conserve water. More recently, however, arboriculture is also a tool for addressing the economic and climate risks disproportionately affecting CJEST (Climate and Economic Justice Screening Tool) communities.
